To start, I would recommend adding some good fat and protein to any carbs you may be eating. Every small step taken will help not only fat burning but your health as well. By adding these good fats and proteins you are helping your body control its insulin levels. Some complex carbs to eat especially before working out, are sweet potatoes and brown rice. So, remember that good fats and complex carbs aid the weight-loss process and are essential for your body to function properly. Unless your carbs come from the ground avoid it and eat healthy fat foods instead. Now I want to talk about what the real enemy is, sugar. All those low-fat foods that were made, because people believed that the fat was bad for them were only replaced with lots of extra sugar! Well, that extra sugar just hurts our body even more by spiking our insulin levels, which controls the fat you burn. If we add these good fats to our meals, we are one step closer to the natural way of losing weight. Now there are fats we should avoid for sure, like hydrated oil, canola oil, margarine, substituted butters and whole-wheat bread. None of these fats are meant for our body to burn so it stores them as fat instead. What so many people do not realize is how easy it is to find the right foods for us. Foods that we have been told for years that are bad for us! I will start by telling you that what we need to focus on are fats. I know you have probably been told how bad they are for you. Well, we have been told wrong for far too long. Good fats are what our body needs to function properly. For example, eggs, coconut and olive oil, REAL butter, and raw nuts. These fats actually accelerate our bodies fat burning process. There are many fast weight-loss diets out there and while some may work right away, they only last a short period of time. For instance, low-carb and low-calorie diets promise easy and rapid weight-loss. It may seem true at first, but our body just puts the pounds back on and sometimes even more than we had to begin with. These diets do NOT work, and are not meant for our body.
