Do they signify the equal matter? To most people, they do mean the equal thing.  But the terms could be totally a different in meaning.  You must understand the difference if you genuinely need to lose weight or lose fat effective and safely.  <br/><br/>When you get on your weighing scale every dawn, what you&#8217;ll be interpreting from the scale is weight loss and not fat loss.  Weighing scales are never right in finding out fat loss.  <br/><br/>Why is that? Because it measures total weight and not body fat per se.  If you weigh yourself before breakfast in the morning and after you empty your bowel, you would likely arrive to your lowest reading as your body is dehydrated after hours of non liquid replenishment when you were slumbering and after clearing your bowels, a lot of water and waste materials are purged out and so it makes you become lighter.  After a night of rest and not eating up anything, your carbohydrate storage is going low and hence you are even lighter without the stored carbohydrate or glycogen.  What happens next? You barely loss some weight and not fat! Your body fat is nevertheless there while the weight of other contents such as glycogen, wastes, water etc are wiped out.  <br/><br/>Immediately go weigh yourself once more after your dinner when you are completely replenished by meals and ingestion of water and you may be astonished that you likely weigh 4 pounds or a lot more heavy! You have just gained weight and might even gain fat.  Now you would have realise that it is a mistake when people say weight loss and fat loss are the equivalent thing.  <br/><br/>How come you must recognise the difference? Your body will then sends a signal to your brain that you are in a starvation mode and the body is calibrated to store more fat for the coming famine and will resort to use up your muscle for energy in the daily activities.  <br/><br/>Some diets recommend a dangerous cut in carbohydrate intake.  Carbohydrate is your body&#8217;s main root of energy.  When your body is exhausted of carbohydrate, it moves around to your protein which is your muscles and body fat randomly for energy.  To make worsen matters, because of the restrained carbohydrate ingested, there would be less carbohydrate calories to for the use of energy calories and that once again will tell the brain the to start starvation mode again.  This wicked cycle of your body cannibalising it&#8217;s own muscle is launch again.  The equivalent applies to people on slimming pills or salon fat loss programs.  <br/><br/>Some would say ok, I get your point, in that&#8217;s the case then I will just do heap of cardio exercises to lose weight.  Yet it&#8217;s another severe error.  Have you ever questioned why long-distance runner, those who runs numerous kilometers frequently and are making cardio exercises just about everyday are so thin without any muscular tonus? Because your body is a marvelous system.  It is configured to adjust and adapt itself.  When you run or jog or swim long enough, it will tell the body to better reduce weight so that I will be able to handle the strain better and improve the endurance.  Your muscles are heavier than fats and what would your body cast off more when it needs to reduce weight? Muscle or fat? Your body will throw away both but more of muscles than fats.  <br/><br/>In any case, why will you prefer to reduce weight just to get a smaller you on the same body build without any muscle tone? Why will you prefer to be on a reduce weight program that consumes your muscles and bring down your fat burning rate so that when you&#8217;re inactive the program, the fats comes back stacking on once more? <br/><br/>Hence, while you&#8217;re active on a reduce weight program, you need to be also on a muscle building program. It seems that at some point of all weight loss plans this decision is made.  Why is it such an important decision? It is hard to find a good gym, and once you have committed to a gym it is hard to get out of the membership.  Most major gym chains require at least a two year commitment, and when you sign up for a gym it usually involves giving bank account information for direct withdrawals.  This linking of the gym and the bank account often turns ugly when a person is done with their gym.  <br/><br/>Yet, for many people they don&#8217;t feel as if they can get the results they want without the resources that a gym provides.  It is very easy to see why so many people are successful when they join a gym.  A person that is motivated to lose weight will have a seemingly never ending supply of weight control options.  Personal trainers are roaming the floor of the gym in order to provide solutions to training questions and design custom programs to help the gym members get maximum results.  The problem that many people have, besides the time commitment to a gym is the money that it costs to keep a membership.  All of the services that a gym provides aren&#8217;t cheap and a member will pay for the quality of the gym that they attend.  If a person can work out from home, even if it means they must buy some sort of fitness equipment, then they usually have more economically sound success compared to people who go to a gym.  <br/><br/>The person that decides to workout at home must be a little more proactive.  There are many distractions that can derail a good home workout program.  Just like a person that works from home it is important for them to have self-discipline and set aside time for working out.  People that work out from home must also be a little more self-aware.  They have to do research about the latest workout programs and nutritional breakthroughs in dietary practices.  Often people working out at home don&#8217;t do the leg work they need to do, and this will limit the success that they will have in the long run keeping off the weight.  <br/><br/>Diet is also very important for a person that wants to get the same results as the person working out at the gym.  When a person is working with a personal trainer at a gym, the personal trainer will have a list of dieting practices and dietary supplements they want their clients taking.  For a person working out at home, they must find the supplements that will work best for them.  Staying up to date on the latest research is also important about dietary supplements.  An example of a big resent breakthrough is the research about Omega-3 fatty acids.  Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown in studies to help people to train longer, and have a healthier cardiovascular system.  Many personal trainers are recommending that people take a fish oil supplement, which are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, in order to get the benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids in their lives.  When working out at home people can often miss this news which will help most people reach their desired weight.  <br/><br/>When a person is losing weight they shouldn&#8217;t think that the gym is the only way to get and keep the weight off.  There are many ways for a person to train, and there are many programs that a person can do in their own homes to get the results they want.  <br/><br/></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Fat Loss Diet I was a fat kid.  When I was a kid, fat kids were few in number.  Fortunately I was very active and strong yet that didn&#8217;t change my picture of what I was when I looked in the mirror.  One of my older brothers had a realistic talk with me.  I got it.  I made some changes and lost weight at a time when I had a major growth spurt.  In high school I was relatively normal yet every jiggle made me feel fat.  After college football I needed to lose some fat.  By Christmas after the season I had one pair of pants that I could get into and I couldn&#8217;t afford a new wardrobe.  It took several months to trim down about 30 pounds.  Doing that in college was a challenge.  I did do several things right and learned what doesnaE™t work.  My adult life has been a challenge to control my fat.  In the process I have found those life style habits that support my goal and my health.  Every year I see more people my age lose the battle and put on pounds.  As a doctor I saw the indifference of so many people and yet they paid the price of recurring health problems.  The tragedy is that nearly every one of these people failed in their duty to maintain their health.  We don&#8217;t have a right to good health.  We have a duty to be healthy.  A key factor in the failed attempts to control weight is how we think about weight or fat.  <br/><br/>Many people lose weight yet don&#8217;t lose the way they think about their weight or fat.  The fat comes back for most people.  There are some fat lose programs that can help yet I find many of them do not support our metabolism to give us a way to live.  Most are weight loss programs that fail in the end.  I have lost 40 pounds and kept the fat off.  I was fortunate to have not accepted the concepts about fat and weight that many people do accept.  This can be generalized by the story of twin boys that had contrasting adult success.  One was a homeless alcoholic and the other was CEO of a corporation.  When asked the question, &#8220;What do you attribute to your current situation?&#8221; the answer was the same.  &#8220;What do you expect if your father was an alcoholic?&#8221; It is how we respond to what we see, hear and feel about issues as we are growing up.  We think what we have learned and that is not who we are.  This can be changed and the results are priceless.  Changing your thinking must be the first step to a successful life changing transition to a body that is vibrant, lean, healthy, solid, strong and energetic. Yet that didn&#8217;t change my picture of what I was when I looked in the mirror.  I got it.  I lost weight by making a few changes.  This was at a time when I had a major growth spurt.  In high school every jiggle made me feel fat even though I was of relatively normal size and weight.  I needed to lose some fat.  By Christmas after the football season I had one pair of pants that I could get into and I couldn&#8217;t afford a new wardrobe.  That was my wake up call.  Over several months I trimmed down about 30 pounds.  The traditional college life style made doing that a challenge.  I did several things right and learned what doesnAca��a�ct work.  As my body changed with age and different activities it has been a challenge to control my fat.  In the process I have avoided fat producing habits found those life style habits that support my goal and my health.  Every year I belong to a smaller group of normal weight people. Psoriasis is far different from arthritis, even though the two conditions fall under the tent of a psoriatic arthritis diagnosis. Keeping Psoriasis at BayThe most effect way of minimizing psoriasis outbreaks is to take care of the skin.  This includes treating the body well from the inside in order to optimize the skin&#8217;s ability to protect itself.  Patients need to maintain a healthy diet that is rich in essential fatty acids which work to improve overall body health and decrease the inflammation associated with both psoriasis and arthritis. Triggers are also an important part of keeping skin flare-ups at bay.  Triggers can include medications, alcohol consumption, smoking and stress.  Quitting drinking and smoking will go a long way toward keeping skin effects at bay and may also help improve joint health.  Keeping a journal of any medications that cause a skin flare-up is also important.  If a doctor tries to prescribe the same medication again, you can advise him or her of the previous affects on the skin and a new medication can be chosen. Physical care of the skin is also important.  Moisturizers can be used to keep skin from drying out and developing itchy spots.  In addition to applying moisturizes directly to the skin, an internal moisturizer can also help.  Many people do not consume enough water which can leave the skin dry.  Increasing water intake is an easy way to moisturize the skin naturally. But, there are some specific changes that can directly affect arthritis.  The most important is the addition of exercise and reduction of weight.
