Quick weight loss for teens # 1<br />
Good nutrition always starts at home.  You have to keep this in mind.  Instead of keeping in check or even limiting severely what your kid eats, take a good, hard and honest look at what the entire family is eating.  Teens develop their eating habits from what you teach them.  So if you are a family of potato chip eaters, you need to wean the entire family from the chips and go for healthier options like fresh fruit and vegetables.  Try not to create a meal plan only for your overweight teenager, while the rest of the family chows down on the unhealthy stuff.  Your kid will only resent this and may sneak in meals outside your home.<br />

I mean, sure there is or are in existence thousands of so called quick weight loss diets but how effective are they?  How are they on the person’s health?  How long does the weight loss last; how quickly does the diet wear off?</p>
<p>I have always been impressed with celebrities who give birth and within weeks are back to pre-baby shape.   What quick weight loss diet do they use?  Do they use any?  I am further impressed with the actors who gain and lose weight to play particular roles.   Robert Deniro, for example, gained 60 pounds to play Jake LaMotta as the boxer aged and got stagnant in the docudrama Raging Bull.   Minnie Driver added twenty pounds for the fat friend role she played in Circle of Friends, as did Rene Zellweger for her Bridget Jones roles.   And the record-breaking weight addition was done by Vincent D’Onofrio, who gained 60 pounds to play the incompetent, picked-on  soldier in the opening scenes of Full Metal Jacket.   What kind of quick weight loss diet did they use afterwards, or what kind of quick weight loss diet do the stars use to play emaciated characters—those with eating disorders or those who are depicting concentration camp or natural disaster victims?</p>
<p>And further, the overriding question, if you are not a movie stay raking in a couple mill to do so, is this: How healthy can a quick weight loss diet be?  Or, in conjunction, Is it worth it? I am not a doctor or medical specialist of any kind, but I have—as an overweight child, teen, and adult—experimented, read, studied, envied, and been alarmed by the quick weight loss diets mentality and habit and practice.   I have fainted, had heart palpitations, and even accidentally overdosed on OTC (over-the-counter) weight loss pills.   I have also seen students and friends lose the shine of hair, lose hair, become anemic, develop severe headaches, and need to be intubated to gain nourishment after having played with the Russian Roulette of the quick weight loss diet world. </p>
<p>The celebrities who do so gain and lose weight with seeming ease, are not doing it as a lifetime tradition.   They might even be under medical supervision when they do so.   When not working on a role that requires their changing their natural weight, they do not, typically, do quick weight loss diets (the actors with eating disorders excluded, here).   They use healthy food plans.   They exercise.   They see food as food and not as love.   They diet, but they diet according to the definition of the word as a structured menu of healthy foods that include grains, dairy, protein, nuts, and fruits and vegetables, or reasonable equivalents. While planning, you will need to create your own schedule and types of food you will eat, which will solely be based on your preferences. To help you in planning your quick weight loss diet program, here are a few tips you may want to consider. Eliminate Junk FoodsJunk foods are, as the name says, JUNK.  This should be the first thing you should consider when planning for your quick weight loss diet. Unfortunately, it is impossible to totally remove this from your daily diet since you might have gotten used to it already.  Eliminating it all at once will also make you feel that you have been deprived of the good things in life, which is not good since it will only make you yearn for it more.  The secret here is to eliminate junk foods gradually.  In the beginning, set a small attainable goal.  Letâs say you have planned to eat junk food 3 times a week.  After you have reached this goal, set another goal say, you will only eat junk foods 2 times a week.  Continue on doing this until such time you have totally removed junk foods from your diet. Choose Your Own FoodWhile planning your quick weight loss diets, it is important that you choose the food that you eat.  Just because people say a certain food is good for weight loss doesnât mean you should include it in your plan right away.  If you do not like the food, then donât choose it. Of course, it is very important that you choose healthy foods.  Choosing unhealthy ones is not an option here. Instead, a slower weight loss plan is better.  It&#8217;s safer, quick (when the right foods are eaten) and best of all it&#8217;s permanent, because changing your eating habits and the type of foods that you eat are all a part of the diet.  So you are changing old eating habits for new ones in the process.  <br/><br/>Other quick weight loss diets, like the next paragraph explains, often work, but only for a short time.  If someone is planning to fit into a dress for a special event, this is a good way to lose a few pounds.  However, they should know they will gain them back once they eat normally again.  The best weight loss endeavor is one that lasts a lifetime.  This means that a diet is something that works with the body, and is then something that can easily be followed after the extra weight is gone.  Though experts fight about what the best plan for losing weight really is, they do agree that going back to old eating habits is why so many fail in the end.  <br/><br/>Fact is Low fat foods is not the answer to long term fat loss. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A couple of weeks ago I’ve heard again the same old argument, “If weight loss programs would really work, then we would all look great.  But we don’t look all that great, so it means weight loss cures are a total waste of time and money!”</p>
<p>You’ve probably heard or thought about something similar too at some point in your life if you’ve ever tried any kind of weight loss program.  </p>
<p>I believe that quick weight loss cures don’t work because people fall too often pray to less-than-honest advertising campaigns, spend money on “miracle products” and get no results whatsoever.  </p>
<p>So what would really work? </p>
<p>Is there any such a thing as a miracle quick weight loss cure or miracle pill? The short and long answer is, of course, “No!”</p>
<p>Weight loss cures and programs would be benefited if the accent would be shifted not so much on losing weight as on improving the general health of the individual.  Furthermore, many specialists report that change in general lifestyle cannot be accomplished effectively unless it involves the whole family of the individual in facing weight issues. </p>
<p>What can one do to improve his or her health, well being and self image?</p>
<p>Procrastination is the number one challenge you will have to face if you want to make durable changes in your life.  I mean what can happen if you don’t take your 30-minute walk today? Nothing, really. </p>
<p>There’ll be time that you will skip your walk more and more often and then your gym classes because it will be harder for you to do a full body workout when you’ve done no exercise at all during the week.  By the way, 2 hours once a week is not that effective anyway. </p>
<p>And then there are all the small treats you just can’t say no to.  And does it really make such a great difference if you’ll eat a little chocolate today, or a double cheeseburger? </p>
<p>When I needed to find a weight loss cure that really works I’ve tried a lot of things.  I’m not saying they are all waste of time, but I didn’t like neither one of them.  There are friends of mine who swear by Atkins or Hoodia or who knows what else, but I’ve never had any success with any of the well known weight loss programs.  </p>
<p>And I am not the type that goes to the gym either.  I simply hate to sweat at the gym.  I am doing all the chores that needs to be done around the house, I love gardening and I spend a lot of time playing with my dogs, but I just cannot make myself get up and going to the gym.  </p>
<p>Plus I love to cook and I love to eat.  </p>
<p>Sounds hopeless, isn’t it? </p>
<p>Well, it would be hopeless if I would be into quick weight loss, but I am not.  </p>
<p>I’ve set myself a simple goal: I have to lose 1 (one) pound per month.  It would have taken me 3 years to reach a healthy weight.  It sounds like an eternity and it may well be so for people who expect miracles. </p>
<p>But look at it my way – I didn’t have to make major adjustments in my lifestyle right from day one.  All I did was to eat a little less fries than usual and some more veggies.  And then I’ve started to drink less sweet carbonated drinks.  </p>
<p>It took me more than a year to give up fries and cola, but I’ve done it and I was so proud of myself.  I still don’t go to the gym, but I do walk for 30 minutes four times a week and I do try not to use the elevator at work.  </p>
<p>And so, with minor adjustments over a long period of time I’ve come to achieve my goal and I haven’t gained any weight back! <br/><br/></p>
